I’ve been skiing for nearly 40 years now and have gotten the family into it a lot. We’ve been skiing a lot in South Lake Tahoe and trying to figure out the best parking spots has been a bit of trouble. Here is what we have coming up with this far:
Sierra-at-Tahoe
If you follow the signs for the RV parking you can get to the parking lot with a secret path off to Marmot that drops you right into West Bowl. GPS: 38°48’01.7″N 120°05’06.4″W picture:
Heavenly
We ski a lot of afternoons, but we still really like parking at Stagecoach. Great access to Stagecoach Express. GPS: 38°57’38.9″N 119°53’12.6″W picture:
Kirkwood
Kirkwood’s parking (as all of them) can be a pain. We found that parking at Kirkwood Village has great ski-in, ski-out access to the SnowKirk to Caples Crest, which finally gets you to some great skiing off of Sunrise. GPS: 38°41’01.6″N 120°03’56.2″W picture:
